I've looked online for training centers and found several here in the northwest, where I am. Are there any that anyone can recommend, or some to stay away from. For instance, anyone familiar with American Pacific University, or the Oregon Hynotheraphy Association?

This one is good.
I think Don did this one.
Don?
I have taken several of the trainings offered through APU and I think they are good. I'm not familiar with OHA.

Check out the Bennett/Stellar University website. They go to Seattle at certain times of the year. It's NLP, Time Line Therapy and hypnosis. Incredible teachers and a heck of a lot of fun. One can also re-attend anytime later for free. I know two of my friends are going to the Sedona class in March. I like the idea of NLP and hypnosis being practiced together so one can be very sure of the results. I, personally, am seriously thinking about going to Florida to the Omni Hypnosis Training Center as he has some very good material and definitely takes hypnosis to 2005/6. Sometimes you just have to go to the mountain as it will not come to you. Once started, you will never want to stop learning. It's not that one is better than the other, it's just a matter of what YOU want to LEARN!! I know for sure the sponsors of this website have an excellent school but I don't believe they go that far north. Check and see. Dr. James is legendary with his invention of Time Line Therapy and if it's something you want to learn, why not learn it from the master himself. Right now you have your choice of three of the most powerful places to learn. Enjoy it -- it's fun and you will never get enough!!

They've been represented here by several people in the past, including Annie, Kieth, Steve and others.

Merlin, were you referring to Keith L? If so, he has his own business going now and seems to be doing wonderfully at it. He is one very great human being and I cherish his friendship.
