Has anyone viewed this Instant Induction DVD? I'd like to learn more about fast inductions. This DVD has a lot of content that I'm interested in, but I can't find a review that doesn't reek of marketing.

Thanks!

I haven't seen it, but I'm always...disappointed...by people who call themselves the "world's fastest" hypnotist. I don't care a bit about being the fastest, I want to be the most effective.

What content is on it that you're interested in?

How much training do you have in hypnosis? Inductions--whether for stage or therapy--are only a small part of the process. The real "work" is what you do after induction. If you have a great deal of training in either stage work or therapy, instant or rapid inductions can be very useful.

I recently did a review of "Speed Trance," which is a set of DVDs on instant/rapid inductions, and is available on this site. Why do you think Mr. Andrews is going to be any better or worse than this set? The concept of such inductions has been around for a long time and I've viewed a bunch of techniques. I'm even going for (yet another) training in them in 2 weeks. So far, I've seen nothing that is not explained or trained in a thorough basic hypnosis training.

So let's say you learn how to do instant or rapid inductions. Then what?

It depends on which one of Sean's you are writing about. He has two different sets out for two different prices. I LOVED the one I bought and I also bought Speed Trance which was very good too.

They will all do you little good unless you completely understand hypnosis. Inductions are the EASY part. What comes after the induction is what really, really is super important.

Sean (is) was heading out to do MORE "statue" people. If you think for one instant this is what hypnosis is about, you are in for a BIG surprise.
Instant inductions are nice for stage work and when a client returns. Instants give us more time to do the changework and spend less on an induction.

Since you are interested in hypnosis, I invite you to read Merlin's FAQ. To do this, find her name and click on the FAQ towards the bottom of her signature line. We also have a good book list too.

Be well and be smart~Pood :)

Really who cares if he says he's the fastest or not. Its a business and he found his Niche. Anyhow, I have copy of his 2 dvd set on rapids/instants/quickie than normal inductions. Personally I really like the material. He, imo, is great at teaching the Elman induction. I don't know if it was just me, but there was some audio cutting out on part of the Elman induction part. I had a friend who let me borrow his dvd 'Amazing Inductions' co-authoered with Keith Livingston, and this is excellent in my opinion. Mr. Andrews is also keen on talking about safety and ethical issues. He is very gentle unlike that Mr. Zap guy. Also, when I received my dvd set from Mr. Andrews he had signed the insert with "only use these inductions on beautiful women like Pam (my gf)". I really feel that this was a nice personal touch, and it shows that he cares very much about people who follow him and or his students. I've actually talked to him a few times on skype, and let me tell you, he is a very nice man. I know he just came out with a recent Dave Elman dvd - which has an interview with Mr. Elmans son and talks about his stint apparently helping the FBI catch some Nazi spies way back in the day.

I don't know. John Cerbone has been officially clocked at less than three seconds. I have not seen Sean clocked. John also teaches or has taught "hypnotherapy" and has a great script book out if one does not know NLP. A lot of the script book is devoted to Phobias. We take care of one and all the same way in a matter of minutes instead of messing around with officially induced hypnosis. Now, that's really the fastest when the fastest is needed. Cerbone is also very well known and was a guest on Fox News last week on someone's show.

Please buy zero products until you have been through a hypnosis training and I mean even the 3 day wonder weekend course will give you enough to start building upon.

I have a CD or two of Elman himself inducing trance teaching MD's and for the life of me I don't know how he/they did it. Even he has been changed and "softened" from what he originally did -- thankfully. I believe at the NGH Convention his grandson was scheduled to appear.

It was on Glenn Becks show. Glenn as usually was a pompous a^%hole, and trying to poke fun at Mr. Cerbone. I know he was supposed to be back on one of the networks, yesterday I believe.

I think the two below are in the "green room" or another part of the studio.

Description right on plus the dreaded finger snapping! I wonder, really wonder, why he always looks so ill at ease when on camera. Fox News I can understand, but not back stage. It's not as if he hasn't hypnotized 10's of thousands of people and also has a clinical practice.

I really LOVE that deepening technique of his. That to me is truly awesome and so fantastically easy.

Thanks m_d.

Poodle, I listened to some of Elman's tapes. The most important point I took is the power of expectancy. Basically, he did nothing, except raising the expectancy of doctors attending his training. And he was beautifully confident, almost arrogant. But they were different times.

I dunno. I've been to several trainings where the trainers do the same thing!
