Can someone with experience please throughly explain to me how to perform a rapid induction? Do everything as fast as you can, including speaking double time..... It takes lots of practise not to stumble over your words, so don't be discouraged.....
Hi, OSD.
You will notice that some of the replies you've received may seem...humorous. This is because what you are really asking for is training. Sort of like asking, "Can someone with experience please throughly explain to me how to perform a frontal lobotomy?" You see, you need knowledge and skills in order to do a rapid induction.
Look, here is a complete, in-depth, explanation, just as you requested:
1) observe physiological actions of client
2) When client is moving between states issue shocking command to sleep.
3) Immediately give deepeners
There you go. Does that make sense to you? If not, you need to get training. We can't give the many pages of a book or the hours of training you'd need to understand and actually perform such a rapid induction, nor can we watch you as you practice and tell you where you can improve.
Now, there are other inductions which are not as fast as the one I described above. These do involve doing things faster, as Terry recommended. The key is to not just speak faster, but to omit anything that is unneeded.

Why not buy a DVD on the subject from a good training school and practice until you are perfect?? They are available. Is all you have to do is hunt one down. You should be able to learn at least 6 on a DVD including inductions without words.

there are a lot of "Rapid Inductions"
here are a few that you can look up on google.
But as mentioned before you do need skill and confidendence for these to work, i would start with normal (i use this word loosely) indution methods like the "Elman indution"
but as requested
1, The Handshake Induction (this requires alot of skill)
2, The Handpress induction ( you need to watch the client closely for this)
3, Clockface induction (This is simple to perform) but does not work on everybody, i have seen this done it did not work on the person it was intended for but someone else watching dropped like a stone..... very funny
Just a question,, how much skill do you have? because hypnosis is not for fun and games unless you have been trained, this is not a suggestion that you are just Playing.
I just feel that it is my duty to make people aware of this.
anyway look up the indutions that i have listed up 2 of them can have somebody into trance in under 10 seconds
Good Luck

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Just how much experience does the person have in so-called "normal" inductions before moving on to rapid or instant inductions. Has the person actually received training more than a weekend without hands-on training? I consider my very modified Dave Elman to be rapid as it takes me a whole four minutes but late afternoon or evening seems to work best with an instant.

All inductions are instant.
It's just a matter of how much other stuff you include before getting around to the hypnosis.

Great reply Merlin. Leave it to the lady at Avalon! I did one on my mother this afternoon as she is quite deaf and I have to shout at her. It was just pretend that ... and in about 3 seconds she was in somnambulism and greatly enjoyed it. She has been a little afraid of hypnosis as she is a very "take charge" person but now that she knows how easy it is and how well she responds the FEAR factor is GONE. Next we moved to the confusion instant induction and she loved that one too. She had always thought of hypnosis as a stage show and the participants were paid to do silly things. She exclaimed that I have too much power. I told her I have NO power and it is the power of her own mind that allows this to happen. All I do is use a few words. She has been very curious about all the people I have helped so I guess she finally wanted to find out about it for herself.
