Context = Group Seminar... Rapid Inductions and OMG you should see the photo's :rolleyes:
Anyway... I have done 'trance' on numerous occasions but really wanted to do some hypnotic phenomena - I was the subject BTW
Rapid induction aside and minimal content I was given suggestions to forget the number 4 and hallucinate a tennis ball - It didn't happen... Many others had success and it was great to see...
My question is... And taking numerous things into factor such as group environment etc... How can I train myself to achieve these deep states that I witnessed others doing so easily and effortlessly?

Sounds a bit like one Don and I did together. We had to produce ALL Deep Trance Phenomena. To me, it seemed to have a whole lot to do with whom you were working with at the time. There was one with Complete Body Cat. between two chairs. The guy starts out saying Hi, I'm So and So and I'm a psychologist. I'd like for you to imagine a bright white light and I was getting a little upset with him and my body just crumpled into a V. He could not imagine why he failed. There was also another person from Romania but with amazing English who was intelligent enough to ask ME what type of induction I wanted. All was accomplished in about two whole minutes. She was a smart lady (and was the first mismatcher I met). We also had to do a group one and were supposed to use Estabrooks which I refused. I was told my way would take them too deep too fast. The only person I sorta lost was Don,,,he was drooling but still completely able to hallucinate what I wanted him to.
From that experience I would suspect that the other participants were below your level of expertise as is often the case at these type of things. Also know beyond any shadow of doubt that all DTP can be achieved out of a induced hypnotic trance. I truly believe that you, being a NLP Trainer know more about hypnosis and hypnotic states than 99% of hypnotists even tho you really don't believe you know all that you know yet.
You do not "train" yourself to to this. You allow yourself to do this and you do need to be working with the right person. There is a set of CD's out "Deep Trance Phenomena" if you wish to purchase them. As I remember they were a little on the expensive side.
