HYPNO-YOGA
There is a system that many hypnotherapists, who use The Enneagram personality profile system to help them decipher client's behaviors and motivations, to compensate and decompensate, can use which is much older and more complete.
The great thinkers of hypnosis have discovered that altering a way of thought alters a lifestyle. That the subconscious mind acts out…that you move in the direction of your dominant thought.. but where do these subconscious habits of thought come from? Is there a technique using hypnosis and yoga to help? How do thoughts like "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer"…."money doesn't grow on trees"…or "Money is the root of all evil" affect your attitude towards wealth..or statements like…"I don't know…everything I eat turns to fat"…Or "I've tried everything to stop smoking…nothing works for me"…affect your life in general?
According to yoga, these subconscious patternings are stored in chakras, and become the inner programming that drives your life….
When the conditions in a person's life are "ripe," a given thought pattern or imprint will manifest. Until then, it is stored, potentially, in one of the six chakras. It is exactly like taking a seed and putting it into the moist ground. Then, when the sun comes, the seed sprouts. Remove the moisture and the seed cannot sprout. Remove the heat of the sun and the seed will not grow, etc. However, when the conditions are right, the seed will sprout. Thus, it is vital that the wise hypnotist gets rid of negative thought patterns and be aware of the conditions that will germinate any given ability of the subconscious mind to act out negative programming in a client.
A given emotion will cause a given chakra to rotate. Not all emotions are strong enough to cause a chakra to rotate and thus release or act out the dominant thought of that chakra. However, emotions can group together, forming sets of emotions, which cause a given set of chakras to rotate and to rotate in a given order. The order of spinning chakras sends a pattern of thoughts, which affect the mind, the body, the immediate environment, or all of these.
For example, emotions such as coldness activate the Saturn (Muladhara) chakra. Such as "no one loves me"..and thus no love is in the clients life. Greed activates the Jupiter (Svadhisthana) chakra. Sexual passion and hatred activate the Mars (Manipura) chakra. Selfish love or allurement activate the Venus (Anahata) chakra. Emotions such as scheming activate the Mercury (Vishuddha) chakra.
Emotions cause a chakra or many chakras to spin. The greater the emotionality, the faster the spin of a chakra; the greater the radian spin, the more forceful is the release of the dominant thought.
The inclination and the proclivity for subconscious mind to act out the dominant thought is much like an electromagnetic field that is turned on and off. Even when the karmic electromagnetic field is turned off, the mind is still turned on, and thus because of greed, grasping and its "glueyness," the mind tends to hold on to the emotional thought and unconsciously seeks to cause that dominant impulse to manifest that desire or action.
Your horoscope is divided into twelve Houses, each representing a certain part of your life. An astrological chart takes the form of a circle: the Houses divide the circle up into segments, like the segments of an orange.
The House shows you the area of your life which that chakra may be influencing. An ancient use of Astrology was to help balance the chakras and led one to enlightenment.
Emotions cause a chakra or many chakras to spin. The greater the emotionality, the faster the spin of a chakra; the greater the radian spin, the more forceful is the release of the acting out thought.
These attitudes intensify and reproduce themselves, remagnetize, energize and regenerate until the emotional becomes an overwhelming psychological impulse and an overwhelming biological impulse.
How is Hypno Yoga used?
First you need to become familiar with what each chakra represents. Then, using yoga, and hypnosis, a basic familiarity of the zodiacal houses is necessary. Following is a list of the major chakras and the life areas they represent, from lowest location to highest:
Saturn (Muladhara) chakra: confinement, fears, and building foundations, whether these are foundations of buildings, organizations or friendships. Houses 10 and 11. Location in body: Base of spine.
Jupiter (Svadhisthana) chakra: abundance, philosophy, advanced studies, long journeys, past-life karma, and deeper, subconscious past-life patternings. Houses 9 and 12. Location in body: small of back.
Mars (Manipura) chakra: energy such as in sex and war. However, it can be, in its Plutonian hierarchy, the knight in shining armor. Houses 1 and 8. Location in body: Navel area
Venus (Anahata) chakra: wealth, beauty, platonic love, and that mystical thing called the "not-self."Houses 2 and 7. Location in body: heart level.
Mercury (Vishuddha) chakra: travel, communications, writing, short travels and languages. Houses 3 and 6. Location in body: Throat area.
In addition, these symbols have a more social meaning. The Saturn chakra symbolizes old men; Jupiter deals with bankers and philosophers; Mars represents warriors, young men and soldiers; Venus relates to young women and lovers; Mercury deals with students and teachers.
There are two more chakras that manifest on a higher level: the Ajna (Sun) chakra, Located in the center of the forehead, and the Chandra (moon) chakra, located at the back of the head. The Solar chakra deals with fathers, The fifth house, and the Moon with mothers, the fourth house. Both are symbolic of authoritarian figures. On an impersonal level, the Moon chakra relates to the home environment and things and events. The Sun chakra deals with creativity, children, speculazation and pleasure.
Having familiarized yourself with these areas of your life, take a pen and paper, and think about your life.
Begin with the earliest problems you can remember and slowly move forward, year by year, making a list of all the major problems you have had; or Start with today and go backwards towards birth. What you are looking for are patterns.
For example, the categories people list most frequently are problems in health, wealth, love and job; however, there are 12 categories to consider, twelve sections on the horoscope which show the activities of the chakras:
1.Personality
2.Financial
3.Brethren, neighbors, short journeys
4.Family life, home environment, the home itself
5.Children, romance, pleasure, creativity
6.Health and job
7.Partnerships, personal and businesswise
8.Other people's money
9.Long-distance travel, higher education, and foreign culture and countries
10.Career or ambition--the pinnacle of what you are trying to accomplish consciously or unconsciously in this incarnation
11.Friendships, organizations, dreams, and aspirations
12.Limitations that you are unaware of (the unfoldment of problems that you have that you can't see).
Now, start listing your problems according to houses. For example, if you had a financial problem, you would put an "x" in house 2. If you had three financial problems, you would mark three "x"s in house 2. For each problem, put a mark in the proper house.
Having marked all your problems in the proper houses, you will see that some are more heavily marked than others. Let's assume the majority of your problems related to money matters. That means you are stuck in the chakra having negative subconscious pattern energies in the chakra of the second area, which is known as the Venus chakra.
Having located that chakra, you look to the chakra above that one, which is Mercury. This means the solution to balancing your Venus chakra is in the Mercury chakra. The solution lies within language, communications, the state of your everyday mind, relationships with brothers and sisters. By correcting your thinking (the Mercury condition), you can correct and balance that Venus money problem.
In short, the failure in money matters (Venus) can be corrected by the chakra existing above it--in this case the Mercury chakra. Therefore, it is the lack of communications that has caused the problem, and better and greater communications will improve and correct the money problems.
Let's assume the most common problem area is health. This is the sixth area of your life, which relates to the Mercury chakra. Problems dealing with the Mercury chakra area are solved by ascending the chakra ladder and working with the chakra above it--the Moon chakra. Thus, there are basically two causes of the health problems: cellular malfunctions, because the Moon relates to the cells of the body, or the home environment. By correcting the imbalances in the home environment, you will begin to improve your health, because there is a symbolic relationship between your home life and your health.
Simplifying the process even further, sit down and look at your whole life if doing this for yourself, or have the client do it, asking, "What are the major types of problems that have been reccurring in my(or clients) life?" Next, give a number that is linked to the chakra area (house)as indicated. Then correct the angular energy of that chakra by doing the following:
Short hypnosis/guided imagery patter included with regular patter:
"Vividly imagine a beam of intense, shimmering blue light coming down from above and entering your _______ chakra located at the_____. This is the blue healing ray.
You now see this narrow beam of light now beginning to swril in a counterclockwise direction within this chakra. As it does, the light releases, opens, energizes and balances this chakra…. Now see the light swriling clockwise within this chakra as it balances and closes this chakra, returning it to correct functionality".
In Shamanic teachings..only one chakra is out of balance..all the others are ok. So we dont have to perform all 12 labors of Hercules( the 12 signs)...or we dont have to search like the 12 knights of the round table( again the twelve signs) for the Grail..the grail is a state of consciousness that is within us..not extenal to us. We just need to deal with that one chakra for a break through. Its called Anyi in Peru and it means "right attitude..or that you are aligned with rather than opposing one's nature.
Post hypnotic suggestions that the paricular chakra house area will "remain lit up like a light bulb, constantly balancing throughout the day"…. Or "everytime you see the color blue…the blue rayed laser light will balance and energize your chakra"…can be included in the mix of the hypnotic script. And with that, I close, leaving you to determine the deeper driving forces of your chakras.
