Hi All,
New to this very interesting forum. I find hypnosis very interesting. I want to sort out something I have been suffering from on and off for years, which is obsessive worry almost border line OCD at times!! Anyway I have wrote my own script taken from a few places and my own imagination: see below.
Anyway I am wondering how long it can take to start to work - I have been using for 2 weeks and not sure if I can feel any results...normal??, although spoke to a friendly chap called Terance Watts and he feels this script is quite good in general....
If someone cant be hypnotized (although I do feel i am very very relaxed) can this be as they are too analytical and because of this hypnosis will never work (or may be take longer...?)
Any views on about + script if anyone can find the time to skim would be great

When relaxed:
You are aware of everything, and yet you are not aware. You are listening with your subconscious mind, while your conscious mind is far away, and not listening. Your conscious mind is far away, and not listening. Your subconscious mind is awake, and listening, and hearing everything while your conscious mind remains very relaxed and peaceful. You can relax peacefully because your subconscious mind is taking charge, and when this happens, you close your eyes and let your subconscious do all the listening. Your subconscious mind knows, and because your subconscious mind knows, your conscious mind does not need to know and can stay asleep, and not mind while your subconscious mind stays wide awake.
You have much potential in your subconscious mind which you don't have in your conscious mind. You can remember everything that has happened with your subconscious mi nd, but you cannot remember everything with your conscious mind. You can forget so easily, and with forgetting certain things you can remember other things. Remembering what you need to remember, and forgetting what you can forget. It does not matter if you forget, you need not remember what you can forget. Your subconscious mind remembers everything that you need to know and you can let your subconscious mind listen and remember while your conscious mind sleeps and forgets. Keep your eyes closed, and listen with your subconscious mind, and when you're listening very, very carefully, your conscious mind will not mind what it forgets, because your subconscious mind will remember what it has forgotten.
As you continue to listen to me, with your subconscious mind, your conscious mind sleeps deeper and deeper, and deeper, and deeper. Let your conscious mind stay deeply asleep, and let your subconscious mind listen to me.
Now you are going to rise to the top of the hill.... as you land there, your subconscious mind will carefully listen to what I am about to say...
being with normal emotions and normal drives, you're sometimes prone to make normal human errors, as we all do... but those errors, those human mistakes, are in the pa st now... and we cannot and should not attempt to rewrite history... because everything that happens to us is part of what makes us human... and the very fact that we are able to feel guilt tells us that we are human... tells us that that we are a caring person... because if we felt no guilt, then that would mean that we did not care... and it is only the person who does not care that should feel guilt... and yet it is only the person who cares. Who genuinely cares, that does fell guilt... so now it's time for you to be just a little kinder to yourself... to accept that the irrational guilt you have been feeling is your subconscious mind's way of letting you punish yourself for things you feel you may have done wrong... but there is always a limit to the amount of punishment that is needed for any wrong doing... every caring person knows that... and when that limit has been reached, there is no just need or cause for that punishment to continue... and a caring person finds it easy to forgive people their mistakes... so you can now forgive yourself... just as you would forgive others for their errors, their mistakes... because those things you feel you may have done wrong were errors... just mistakes... so there is no need now for your further punishment anymore, you do the right thing... and you have always tried to do what you believed was the right thing to do... and because of this, you're going to find it easy to forgive yourself, right now, right this minute... you're=2 0going to find yourself easily able to let go of any guilt feelings associated with these things that you feel you may have done wrong... whether those feelings are in the conscious mind or buried within the depths of the subconscious... it's all right to let go of those feelings of guilt and worry... and to accept that you are a whole, complete, and worthwhile person...imagine your subconscious as a person who used to be standing there shouting to your conscious mind....now imagine the subconscious mind saying nothing more than “i forgive you” when ever you think of a guilty thought which has caused stress.
Now to remove gult and irrational worry I want you to see the guilty problem rise from the lagoon to the surface, then see the sunlight evaportate these feelings of guilt and irrational worry.
Now, I want you to see a nice hot air balloon over in the corner of the field. Go over to it. As you do I want you to feel light and unburdened as you have resolved this problem......pause for a bit......as you get into it you press the gas to make the=2 0balloon rise. As you do you notice there are 3 ropes holding you down. There are problems which have been holding you back for a long time now need to be removed. The first rope signifies irrational thinking – cut the rope with a diamond you have found in your pocket called “clarity” as you do you go slightly higher, and feel irrational thinking leaving your mind for ever. From now on you will clearly see that thinking falls into either rational thinking or emotional black and white thinking. From now on you will never have any irrational emotional black and white thinking – you will only focus on and react to clear rational thoughts.........you will do this as black and white emotional thinking is unproductive, impairs judgment and makes you unhappy.
The next rope represents anxiety – something which has been holding you back for too long.....cut the rope with the diamond known as relaxation....as you do feel yourself go higher....from this point on you will no longer worry about or dwell on anxious thoughts – your mind now no longer fears any thought which may enter your mind. This is because you can clearly and rationally evaluate everything which enters your mind from now on, and unless it has a clear rational basis for it, you will at a conscious and sub conscious level you will simply ignore it....and let it fall from your mind.
The last rope indicates the past....something you have in the past spend too much time thinking about - Now, as you cut this final rope you are finally free, cut the rope with a diamond call the future. As you do you will no longer think about or dwell on past problems and mistakes, your mind is now in the time of now and the future – you will only look back on nice happy memories and events – nothing else!
As you rise on upwards you are totally free – now you are free you realise you have a huge amount of mental strength which will grow day by day. You also have a very strong sense of self-forgiveness. This is because you have removed guilt, irrational worry, and anxiety from your mind – all things which were holding you back in the past...you no longer fear anxious thoughts as anxious thoughts no longer scare you. And because they don’t scare you, you don’t worry about them, and because they don’t worry about them they loose their scariness, in the same way a scary cartoon character did when you were younger....as you got older and wiser the fear left you this is exactly what is happening to you now......now use this time now for your subconscious mind to forgive and remove any repressed thought or memory from your mind now....feel them literally evaporate from your mind as you are exploring and getting used to your new and improved way of thinking.....long pause.......
Ok now, look over the edge of the balloon – see your sun chair down on the field – you can return to this at anytime, but for now just float in the balloon....and relax (add anything else now)
Now as we leave this lovely scene it is time to wake up...(wake up words...) 10 - 1
