I woke up with a strange dream I thought I would share.

I was in a small room loaded with people all sitting next to the walls of the room. Turned out Richard Bandler was there and he was teaching by chatting away in a casual way and folks were switching seats to talk to Richard.

I don't recall most of the conversation but here's what happened when it was my turn to speak to Richard. We were talking about something and I remember turning my head away for a moment, Richard noticed this and suddenly told me to vividly imagine a fruit being squeezed with all the juices flowing, and then he clapped his hands I went into a deep trance. I quickly got up and started spinning around the room faster and faster as I spun I immediately began designing the room anew. New paint colors, gadgets, organizers, new sofa the room and even the furniture changed all with just a thought. Then I stopped and took a seat, I was still in a trancy state and staring downward when I noticed writing on the floor. I had to turn my head to make it out. It read "The skies the limit".

This happened earlier today, fortunately I forgot to turn off yesterdays alarm. What I have gleaned from this is that my OTC is much smarter than I give it credit. I have read, watched and listened to many hours of Bandler but I didn't realize I had a Bandler inside my head. It seems to me that without knowing a thing about NLP one already models efficiently.

I'm sure even Richard would enjoy this one. Would you mind if I copied it and sent it to him? What does it mean? It's simple. Your mind learns very, very quickly. The sky is the limit? or perhaps farther and farther??

Just find out how fantastic it is in person!! Richard does things to your mind that are just amazing and you don't even know it's coming. Docresults and our wonderful Skip here run very close seconds.

Enjoy those dreams!!

Cool! I had a client testimonial the other day, and the client said he dreamt about me--my voice, then he woke up a nonsmoker.

I like the part about "the sky's the limit." But don't stop there. :)

Sure Poodle. I really borrow from a lot of you folks on this forum. In fact I think Skips furniture metaphor came to life in that dream. As for Bandler I plan on seeing him in the future. I have heard good things about DHE and NHR.

"The skies the limit" I know it presupposes a limit however it's kind of a limitless limit. Where does it end? I like the phrase for some reason, not sure why.

as no matter how important one is in this world, it is always nice to hear the feedback especially from "potentials".

Did I miss one of Skip's on furniture? Last one I remember reading was "The Turnip Family" and it was soo very good. Jack had one about Ricky, the Squirril. Absolutely fantastic.

I'll post it if I get any answer back from "The Boss".

I notice you are in Washington. Close to Seattle at all? Connie has residence trainings and she gets great feedback too. Perhaps you could ask when she is having the next class. It's usually better, IMO, to know what's going on before encountering the "Boss" himself. Even being a Trainer, one can easily miss a lot of what Richard does.

I did not "come up with these". They are from Richard. I doubt if I ever would have thought of the last one.

Is there any specific reason you unable to do both with with Connie? Whap out those negative and limiting beliefs AND get that body back!

Those were Bandlers huh? I'm amazed by what I miss sometimes. If your new to NLP, R.B. has some NLPLife videos on youtube that are short, quick and eye opening.

As for Connie's NLP training my instinct is to say her NLP course is one of the best in Seattle, tied with Bennet/Steller. There are other courses but I would place these on top. The only reason I could see not taking either of these would be a funds issue. In my future this wont be an obstacle.

Back to Skips metaphor, I added the couch bit. Skips not that lame. And now I wonder if its a metaphor or analogy?

Well, at the risk of sounding like an advertisement, have you heard the expression: the student surpasses the teacher?

My husband, Michael, and I put on a better NLP training than any in the Seattle area!!! We also taught for Bennett/Stellar before we became our own licensed vocational school, and I know their material, and I know what we offer. :)

grump, I can no longer endorse any trainings now from Bennett Steller. I know what used to be there but from very recent graduates I hear it no longer is there. Most of the Licensed Master Prac. program is supposed to be very closely tied to hypnosis according to what Richard demands to be taught. I would hardly consider one induction - relax-o-therapy- much of a teaching lesson and also included one instant -- the arm jerking one.

If I were near the Seattle area and had a choice between Connie and Michael Bennett, I would definitely go with Connie. She keeps her training totally up to date and knows all the new ideas that Richard comes up with. Michael may have been doing it longer, but Connie does it better.

is a story, That would be a very short story, huh? When Skip really gets into "MetaMuffins", watch out. He is excellent and has actually been my tutor for learning to do them better and better together with Houston a/k/a DocResults. ;)

We are so blessed here to have some of the world's very best!!

Back to Skips metaphor, I added the couch bit. Skips not that lame. And now I wonder if its a metaphor or analogy?

The analogy is since there is a couch (hide-a-bed couch) we can quess why Skip Met-her-for.

To Your Best,
Doc Houston

The student surpasses the teacher... Interesting... And I'm very curious...

Do you believe anyone can surpass Richard?

Since B&G discovered this, it would be difficult for a student to surpass the "teacher" since the teachers are still alive and changing it all the time.

Many people have taken NLP into many different areas, Andy Austin being one of them. Have you surpassed Dr. G? There are many of the originals around that contributed heavily to NLP. Richard maintains that after Master Prac. one should be able to come up with new patterns that are still NLP and if they don't contain the "elements" of NLP, then don't call it NLP. Call it something else. I suspect Dr. G. agrees.

Since you know Dr. G and Chris, what is your take on the matter? Are you going to surpass them?

When I said: the student surpasses the teacher, I wasn't talking about Bandler--the KING. I was talking about my and my hubby's own first NLP instructor--I do think my hubby is better, given the relatively short amount of time he's been doing this work and the powerful positive feedback we're getting, and the fact that our students are taking this material and actually using it--with confidence.

Of course, he was a university Professor for a few years, and does have that teaching background...

Want you to surpass them... It's one of the reasons they are still training... They have created a legacy and act as humble participants in offerinf their wisdom so that people can go beyond what they have learned and taught...

Now I know that as far as maps and territories are concerned the amount of study and participation will undoubtebly give them very rich maps of the territory in which they have been part...

That does'nt mean to say they don't believe they can be surpassed... They express their hope that they will be and that will be their legacy fulfilled in some aspects...

I don't know about the --KING as I have only had the priviledge of an evening with him which in my opinion wasn't that awe inspiring. However, I have listened and watched him extensively and am grateful for the genius that he is.

I think RB when he approached the field of psychiatry would of held a belief that it could be improved... That the top psychiatrists although mayb e brilliant could be surpassed. But I think its time for people to take hold of the field and light it up in new ways... And I believe it is possible... And that this technology can go far beyond its creators..

as most here knows my best friend is a psychiatrist. I told her she really should learn some NLP. It was almost as if I had shot her with a gun! ME????? Why??? I'm a psychiatrist and a surgeon. I replied to the affirmative and would it be wonderful to know what's going on in your patient's minds without listening to all the words and be able to change a lot of their not so wonderful problems easily and quickly. You would be sooo famous....just like Dr. Milton H. Erickson was and still is today.

It is sickening to know that "they" still do electric shock "thera'y". It's just kinder these days. One is "asleep" and this means the mind doesn't know?????

So sad!!

This kites the Clemmitts. Eh? I give up, but the big guy is still trying.

NLP grows with every model. In a hundred years who knows what amazing techniques will have been derived or even created with tools like DHE and other offshoots of NLP. If the information age continues I imagine genious abilities popping up all over the world, redenbacher style.

I use that metaphor all the time, ideas popping... :)

I love that one.

'are you going to be calm (become) aware of new and positive ideas down the road, orville you notice ideas sprining forth from your mind like popcorn popping instantly and automatically?
