Hello again to everyone. I have been away for some time as I have been focusing a lot on my reading and studies. So maybe I can now ask some more worthwhile questions and have a little more of a clue what everyone has been talking about.
To give you an idea of what I have been reading, here is a list: Idiot's Guide to Hypnosis, Fun with Hypnosis, TranceFormations, The Structure of Magis 1&2, And My Voice Will Go With You (a personal favorite), The Hypnotic Patterns of Milton Erickson vol. 1, Frogs into Princes, Reframing, Changing with Families, and Using Your Brain (For a Change). I am currently reading the Professional Hypnotism Manual by John Kappas, and Hypnotic Realities by Erickson and Rossi. I am also currently enrolled in the distance learning course through the Hypnosis Motivation Institute to obtain my Hypnotherapist certification. Yes, this is what I want to do.
I have had about 25 hours so far of placing people under, removing psychosomatic illnesses, chronic pains, removing emotional baggage, installing anchors for motivation and confidence, and all through the phone, voice conferencing, or even text. I have attempted to induce one person so far in person, but only was able to get her into the hypnoidal level of trance. My inductions have been mostly progressive relaxation, but I feel I need fast inductions. As a side not I am in the USAF and it is harder than it seems to find people to practice on, and then I have to worry about security issues due to most of them having Top Secret Security clearances.
I feel I need to perfect these inductions to help inspire the confidence that is so necessary, or at least the appearance thereof, in order to bring people under as well as to help establish rapport better. I would appreciate any tips or advice on the subject.
