Hi Everyone,
It seems like starting over; however, it is more about creating a new community. I hope you like the new forum and its features. So far the feedback has been that it is easier to navigate and use, yet it has more functions and capabilities. Thank you all for you feedback and assistance in making this a great place to come together.
So welcome, lets get started, and please make sure you read the posts in the Forum News and Announcements forum for updates about the posts and the old forum.
Best Regards,
Matt

Hello Dr. James,
Yes, agreed : there are many *more interactive choices* for participants here in this New forum.
Also, 1 of the 1st. changes I couldn't help but notice immediately is the Administrative-ease with which people are being "monitored" as far as what section, and page, they are reading. Was this created by happenstance as part of how this particular program works, or is this feature "Intentional" ?
Not a "computer-geek", I am wondering what beneficial purpose this feature is serving, overall. Thank you, in advance, for your personal explanation.
and I have a question about Honorary member titles being bestowed here. I notice mention of : "Junior", "Senior", "Forum team" for the *heart & soul*, and so forth : all very impressive ! -
With all the flexibility inherent in this program, would you, please, consider creating another title some participants may enjoy being known by : "Kiddie"-member. Some people consider such an *enduring honor*. Thank you :-)

Hi Annie,
The monitoring (as you called it) is just one of the features of the forum. The feature is called “View Who Is Online”. To clarify, only Registered Users can see who is online and yes it does show what forum the person is in. If a person does not register with the forum, they are not able to see who is online.
As for my personal explanation for this, I can only say that I did not write the software, but I have noticed that almost every forum software has a feature to see who else is online. There is another feature called Private Message, and I guess if you see someone online, you could Private Message them so they get it right away.
Regarding member titles, they are not exactly “Honorary” as you called it. Junior Member, Member and Senior Member are automatic titles based on posts. If you have 0-29 posts the title under the name is Junior Member. When you hit 30 it automatically changes to Member. And, when you hit 100 it automatically changes to Senior Member. This kind of lets others know who has been around for a while and how active they have been on the board.
As for Forum Team Member, Forum Moderator and Administrator, those are titles given based on permission settings for the individual. There are a group of people that have been with the forum for a long time, and they have consistently posted high quality information. In an effort on my part to create more stability and recognition for users here at the forum, those specific individuals have been given the title Forum Team Member.
There are two Moderators, and they have some administrative authority in specific forums. Those two are Skip and Don. That is why their title is different. And finally, there are two administrators that have full control of the functions of the forum.
I don’t plan on changing the titles as they serve a specific purpose and in my opinion a minor part of the purpose for this forum. I guess it just gives us more structure now.
By the way, I assume you are the same Annie as on the old forum, however, you used a different email address when logging in. If you email me and show that you are the same person, I can adjust your post count here if you are interested.
Hope this helped.
Matt

Hello Matt,
re “View Who Is Online” that isn't what I meant.
I just noticed there are several simultaneous places indicating where a person has been, tracking in order. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter to me, it is just something that I hadn't been aware of in any other Group, so I thought I'd ask about it. However this particular program was constructed is just fine with me.
AND
Yes, most definitely, you having spent UNtold hours, as well as financial resources I am sure, providing such a *wonderful Gathering place for so many people around the world*; for that, you deserve very High praise ! *Thank you* :-)
re: "Kiddie"- member : well, were we to have the pleasure of becoming aquainted *face-to-face*, which we easily can, you know :-), then you will realize why I consider it such an *everlasting Honor* being given such a title, LOL
re my Posting -time here : I joined Oct/Nov 2002; but yes, have gone thru 3 e-mail changes since, so my 700+ posts got chopped-up, and lost, over time. It doesn't matter to me how many posts are being credited to me anyway.
Ultimately, what matters to me are the reasons I post here : after 30 years of successfuly helping people both emotionally plus physically, I enjoy coming here to give as many people *hope* as I can ...

Hi Matt,
re Annie's # of posts over the last 17+ months : I trust You having more important matters to be spending your precious time on, like preparing for *exciting journeys to other countries to be training more people :-)* than to concern yourself with this minor detail. Like I said, it is of little consequence to me, truely. Thank you for being so considerate :-)
Happy Easter, as well as Happy Anyday !

Hi Matt,
re " I found the user posts for Annie and transfered it over here. "
Well,
1. not only did my E-mails get changed 3 times, but the User-names with them. So, I ended-up posting under "Annie", "Annie-2" & other variations like them, totaling well over 700 posts as 1 of those names alone you quoted during the previous Update as having reached 460+. But just forget about all of that "count-Correcting", now; OK ?
I continue referencing myself as the truely "Computer-baby" I am, lol - I have sooo very much to learn when it comes to these metal/plastic contraptions we use to communicate with, and their attendant choices in applications. I have found the 7 *human-languages* I have played with much easier to understand than these "machines", lol.
Where would our Web-home be without Steve's *expert competent computer skills :D*, I can't imagine !
2. What does it matter, in the Final analysis ? It's only a number !
~
oh, and re my mentioning being granted by you " Kiddie "- status :
Glancing at our *web-home* will explain how so I meant to communicate that. As I informed my daughter : "Merely acting young-at-heart is 1 thing, while maintaining a *perpetually youthfully abundant life* is quite something else. Now, you having a choice in this matter :); what will you choose ? :D "
Anyway, related are some of the Generative :D ideas/possibilities I have come here to share with anybody so Interested ...
oh, and I think it's fairly obvious I am having ooodles of FUN playing with these *expanded* emoticons, LOL. I think they are such a Hoot !!
( another question, if
I may: How can I un-lock the box marked "no icon" at the bottom of this screen I am currently typing on ? Clicking on it, isn't succeeding)
Thank you, once again, for your Caring attention in all of these changes.
Annie
