Nope, hypnosis doesn't work. It's an illusion. Smoke and mirrors.

Hello Azzy,

Yes, it works for most people most of the time. But however much you want your husband to stop smoking that is unimportant. He has to want to quit. If he doesn't, it won't and he won't.

In the UK you can find an hypnotherapist in your area at www.hypnotherapists.org (http://www.hypnotherapists.org) which is the website of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, a leading organisation for professionals.

>why are you guys saying no?

Sarcasm.

We've spent many years studying and have posted answers to help many. Yet the poster posts 'does it work'

Maybe he thinks the thousands of hypnotists around the world are just ripping people off. Criminals in essence.

So, the poster started off by equating us with criminals.
I'd rather not participate in that kind of discussion.

Why did I say "NO"? Simple, like Merlin I found the question insulting, but most importantly, it was asked with refference to another person, and nobody can make you consult a practitioner with any hope of success if this is not your idea. Oh yes, hypnosis doesn't work, you do, hypnosis is an art or tool, and if you leave a tool sitting on the bench, no work gets done, until you pick it up and use it properly.....
