chilled out music and some excellent videos.

The next one is one of the finest things I've personally ever seen on the internet:http://www.compfused.com/directlink/574/ (site says that it almost puts you in a trance.. for me it was awe inspiring.. see what you think...)

enjoy!

chilled out music and some excellent videos.Would you like the full force of Bill Barber's 1938 Adagio For Strings, I wonder? I'm not sure. Orbit's trance version is great at 5000 Watts in a club full of disco biscuits, but this is something far more. It rips your heart out and forces you to watch it die of apalling sadness.

Orbit is interesting in this regard, his production work on Ray of Light was intriguing for instance, but I defy any of you not to cry your eyes out at the sheer, aching beauty of Barber's original Adagio.

Cool, will check it out.... thanks Cassandra - any idea where I can listen to that (online if possible)?

(btw: right click and full screen is best for the sand art video)

Cool, will check it out.... thanks Cassandra - any idea where I can listen to that (online if possible)?I last heard it in London, drunk, during a prom concert. I cried my eyes out and hugged the complete strangers crying next to me. We swapped numbers and meet regularly for Very Loud weekends (Beethoven at full blast, copious skinning up, rented catering, etc.). There's the space up here at the country place. No neighbours, you see, on account of the grounds.

Where can you hear Bill's string section submit you to the most efficient lesson in the little-trod path of emotional induction without paying homage to something neither you or I can ever hope to achieve? Well, Mr Google is a cheap and fast friend, but also efficient and discreet in all his dealings...

Mr Amazon, however, sells quality recordings for handy money... I think you may want to own this one for real.

I have listened to Orbit's music for some time (don't confuse him with Orbital!). But I have to agree with Cassandra's description of the original. It is breathtaking and beautiful. Other pieces I would put on the same leve
Mass (or Missa Sina Nomine) by Berlioz
The Sunken Cathedral by Debusy
Asturias (Layenda) by Albeniz (the guitar theme in "Spanish Caravan" by the Doors)
And of course, that guitar break in "Don't fear the Reaper"

Ah..... I think the problem is that the musician's name is actually Samuel Barber - couldn't find it.. will be able to get it now. Those weekends sound pretty cool Cassandra, we all (probably) need a bit of that sort of thing from time to time . And Don those tracks sound like they'll be worth a listen. Robbie Krieger sh1t hot with spanish caravan.. would love to hear original.

Cheers
