Hey all,

I just thought that I would let everyone know that if they are interested in learning how to apply NLP and Hypnosis to seduction then they might want to check out some of Ross Jeffries stuff.

He is pretty good and he is how I got my introduction to NLP and Hypnosis, but ever since then I have chosen to go beyond what he teaches because I am interested in mastering it all to the point where I can use it in every area of my life and I hope that maybe in the process I can also help others to overcome some of their limiting beliefs and self defeating behaviors.

The hard part though is in getting them to be honest with themselves. That is a real trick.

I'm glad that you are interested in NLP and hypnosis. I think you will find it quite rewarding and a positive advance in your life.

However, I would have to respectfully disagree with your advice to support Mr. Jeffries on a variety of levels. First, his uses is very simplistic. Second, it is misogynistic. Third, since he (and other PUAs) admit that what they do is a "numbers game," what they're actually doing is not using NLP and hypnosis "on others," but giving the impression to young men that they are doing it, giving them a more positive self-image. It's fake from top to bottom. And fourth, telling someone to study Jeffries' stuff for learning how to apply NLP is like telling someone to go out and drown their friends so they can practice CPR.

I'm glad that you've gone beyond Jeffries, but most people who buy his stuff or take his classes (or take classes from people who took his classes) come to a realization that they've wasted their money and give up on NLP because they didn't learn it properly and don't think it makes any sense. I've run into several Jeffries drop-outs on line and they are the most anti-NLP people I have ever seen, all claiming that they have had "some" training.

Now, here is the unfortunate truth: after reading about NLP for years and after taking numerous trainings which included "some" NLP, I finally took a real training in NLP last year. IMO, if you take all of the books and all of the trainings that includes "some" NLP and put them together, it would be like lessons in how to hold a scalpel. Real NLP training is like a complete course, from start to finish, in medicine, psychology, and brain surgery. If you really want to learn NLP, you need to take a training. If you rally want to help people overcome some of the limiting beliefs and self-defeating behaviors, at least take training through certified master practitioner level.

Let me give you just one example of what I mean. You write that getting people to be honest with themselves is a real trick. Actually, it is really simple if you are thoroughly trained. You aren't just "given" the techniques that make this simple, you are trained in how to use them effectively.

That's the difference between reading about NLP and being trained in NLP. Your interest is a great way to start. But if you really want to help people, I strongly urge you to take a training.

Thanks for letting us know where you stand, rd, and who your heros are. You'll find that very few here agree with anything you've posted to date. I appreciate the heads up as I have limited posting time, so I can focus my attention where it will be more useful.

Lovely reply!!

Don, you may wish to explain the word "misogynistic" since poster may be one and not know it yet.

Holey Moely tho, I did hear from Ross himself that he now has a steady female in his life (JUST ONE AND ONLY ONE). Will it change him? Doubtfully IMO.
