So is a deep hypnosis necessary in able for it (the script) to completely 'work'? And if this is for self-hypnosis, is it a good idea to use "you" or "I" when you are giving instructions for what to do when getting yourself in hypnosis. If a deep trance/hypnosis (please tell me if theres a difference between the two) IS necessary, than do you know where I can get those scripths online, or any other place where its for free?

Mariah,

You'll likely see arguments as to whether there is a difference between trance and hypnosis.
People go out of their way to prove their beliefs.

There is no such thing as 'depth' with regard to hypnosis.
Either you are hypnotised or you aren't.

There is an infinite variation for trance though.
Trance is more a measure of outward conscious awareness. It can range from fully aware to completely unconscious and everywhere inbetween.

Once hypnotised, any trance level will work for *most* changework.
This is why so many people say light trance is ok or waking trance or deep trance, etc.
It really depends on which point hypnosis is achieved.

Is there a reason why im not unconscious when im hypnotized?

Hypnosis has nothing to do with being unconscious. You're not unconscious when you're hypnotized for the same reason that you're not unconscious when you're eating a meal or reading a book. They're two different things.

What do you mean by "good induction scripts?"

I don't know, hopefully if there was something like a "good induction script" than you would have caught up on it, so I'm guessing there are no such thing? Basically just any induction-script that is to find online? How about this script right here: www.bcx.net/hypnosis/script.htm ?

Just an addendum, Mariah, as Bandler once said 'Everything is hypnosis' and although I would not agree that, for instance a chocolate bar or an aardvark are hypnosis (although my perception of them might be the result of hypnosis)it is true to say that most people are very rarely in any one mental state for more than a few seconds. Hypnosis, trance, call it what you will is simply a series of variations in mental state from critical function to uncritical function with all the steps in between.

So, one person may be changed in a light state of relaxation (or even NO state of relaxation) and another may only be changed in a deep somnabulistic trance. Assessing who does what and when is why you might use an hypnotherapist rather than, for instance, tapes or CDs.
