Go placidly amidst the noise and haste of a clients abreaction
stay calm throughout their emotional outpourings
and help them to let go safely
reasure your clients that it is okay to cry sometimes.
Remember too that its okay for you to cry sometimes.
Work with an open heart
for all our clients deserve our compassion.
However rich, poor, high-born,lowly, dynamic or insignificant they may appear
they are all children of the universe.
Never tire of reminding them that they
are what they were created to be -
a beautiful, perfect human being who has every right
to be here and whole.
Trust your intuition
as it may guide you more than you realise.
Trust your clients sub-conscious as it has all the healing powers he needs.
Let it do the work.
Get out of your clients face.
Shut up.
Be quiet.
Get out of your clients face.
Let the client process.
Get out of his face.
If your client isnt getting better, dont think that youre a failure.
Just look upon it as an oppertunitiy to try something else from your bag of tools.
Be flexible.
Even if your stuck do something.
For if you do nothing then nothing happens.
Be kind to yourself - your only doing the best you can.
Dont get pissed off when clients cancel
or dont turn up.
It happens to us all.
Go and do something constructive and enjoy that free time.
Have fun.
Have a chuckle everyday.
Have therapy yourself for you need to be balenced.
Respect your clients.
You may be the first person who has ever given them respect
during the whole of their lives.
Remember this is a privilege.
Rapport is not just mirroring body language,
but a form of respect and love.
Dont be a clever dick.
Never give advice.
Dont give em an explanation, give em an experience.
Stay strong.
Therapy is not always a one session affair and requires stamina and patience.
Have stamina and patience as your client may need it.
Stay humble.
Yet be proud of your acheivements.
If just one single individual gets better as a result of your efforts,
then you have made a real difference to the web of life.
Your quest is not to see life as it is,
but life as it should be.
Never forget that love requires you to be the greatest person
that you are capeable of being.
And just sometimes this may help you
to be a greater person than you ever thought possible.
Always give more than is expected of you
and abundance will follow.
And if a healing takes place within five miles of you, claim it.
