Hello,

I need your help. In the past two days I’m reading all I can to understand Neuro Linguistic Program, so I can help a friend of mine.

Sadly, I’m not looking for a cure for any extraordinary disease. I understood NLP is used to cure a lot of illness and I realized it is an extraordinary, unexplored, science. The potential of NPL seems infinite.

Sadly, my friend wasn’t lucky in his search for NPL possibilities and was cheated by a so-called “master” (Jesus and Sheena reincarnation, he said), in a journey in Netherlands made exclusively to explore NPL.

He spent lots of money in a 5/6 day course, were he was brain washed. That’s not the problem (money or the new ideas implemented). I really believed he was cheated for someone using NPL capabilities, who them run away to the United States.

My fried was supposed to go with him to the States but something inside his head tell him to go back to his home land and his mother…

He is totally paranoid. He acts like a 5 year old kid. Before he went to the airport in Amsterdam, he bought several toys. He arrived home with lots of bags full of toys and, after throwing everything he had at home to the ground, he started packing all his new toys…

He can’t concentrate in anything. In a 5 minute conversation he talks about 10 different things, without any sense. He only remembers the things he had done when he was a kid (which his mother and brothers had forget long ago) and some movies (Fight Club, K-Pax and so on, which he reefers time a time again). In the same 5 minute conversation he may say his a alien and, one second later, almost hit someone for believing in aliens… Is like is eternally under the effect of some kind of drug, “tripping away”.

He was placed in a hospital, for surveillance (he was acting with violence, sometimes) but the doctors haven’t found, yet, a special cause. Although they believe some problematic pathology is affecting him. They said he only needs rest (he seems not to sleep and eat normally for some days).

There’s a million different things he had done in the past days and I don’t seems the reflection of “good” NPL practice in it. I’m really convinced he was used in some sort of “mind-control” scam and they left him were he can’t follow them… He’s a 5 year boy in a 30 year man body.

I need your help to understand how long can NPL go and if there is some sort of way to bring my friend back to his reality.

Thanks for your help,

Fibonacci

You have jumped to a conclusion that is not born out in what you tell us....If even half of what you say is true, it would indicate the use of drugs not NLP, and the effect of unknown drugs is UNKNOWN even to the doctors who are dealing with the situation.... Alternatively, your friend may be suffering from a mental breakdown, something we are not qualified to deal with at any time, and under any circumstances. Leave it to the doctors, they are better qualified than you....

Fibonacci,

NLP can be permanent.
A very good NLP practitioner or Hypnotist could likely help.
There is the possibility of chemically induced states too, so I would agree somewhat with Terry in searching for possible chemical issues also.
A problem being that the chemicals may be gone from the body and now leaving their effects.

The story appears to me to be a crude attempt to subvert a semi-literate audience. The repeated error of NPL when it was first entered correctly and such a dramatic, badly expressed tale, suggest falsehood.

Experience suggests the victim here would be more likely suffering what is described as mental illness rather than someone screwing with NLP.

NLP stuff-ups are possible, although the brain with its associated physiology have some pretty good defenses. e.g. 'instant' recovery of a previous *saved* event - like a file is (almost) always possible.

*If* the story is genuine, there are appropriate courses of action.

Unless the person has been systemmatically reprogramed at length, there is almost always a simple way to get leverage and *lift* the abberative filter.

interesting... if NLP messed up your friend, YOU WANT TO LEARN IT? to HELP HIM?

What happens then? you'd become the same and both of you will start a toy collection?

I think your story is a bit lacking with truth. Your friend probably used either drugs or alcohol and drugs together.

why NLP cannot possibly cause such a thing? because no one can access your friend's mind, make a salat out of his neurology, and then "run away" to the US...

ooooh, conspiracy... let's call Bandler, we'll make this stuff illegal...

wake up, if anything, you should be far away from this board.

Thanks for your answers,

The story is true. Maybe it all start you drugs but the final "click" was a 5-day NLP lesson.

I post the message in the forum just to understand if it was possible to take someone so far. I don't think so... The origin of the problem was another: not NPL. Maybe it is really a breakdown.

I've been spoken with the doctors and they hope it all is drugs effects but they are not sure yet. They think "there something else"...

I ask the forum's administrator to erase my topic. I don't want to make NLP suspicious without understanding. I know this topic was made in a deseperate option to find a explanation to my friend's health.

Thanks for your help.
