Evening all, I've got that book and can honestly say on my behalf is that it's excellent, i'd reccomend it to anyone aswell as beginners which I was at the time of purchasing it. It has a very good guideline throughout the entire book starting with the history of Hypnosis moving on to the set pieces and there on to performing with example scripts etc
I have actually done a few days with Anthony and Freddy Jacquin which was amazing, great people and really enjoyed it :Db

Lots of history.

It basically goes over some basic rapid inductions. I was expecting it to teach you hypnotic engineering. It only briefly touches up on that.

Only get this book if you want to learn in depth a lot more about rapid inductions. Nothing you can't find on the internet tho.

Thanks for your feedback and thoughts. I thought the history was as slim as I could make it.

You can now read an extended extract from Reality is Plastic as well as many testimonials on my website.

Feel free to ask any questions here.

I own the book by AJ. It is very nice, probably a little too slim (definitely eager for more) and surely interesting, helpful and full of nuisances for the properly trained. I do not think that a novice could get a lot (practically) out of it, for sure a great curiosity for hypnosis and willingness to learn more. I like especially the "fun orientation" of the book. A lot of the material (books, dvds) around is heavily skewed on the therapeutic side, sometimes giving the impression that anyone is slightly pathological. From the book by AJ you can also appreciate that hypnosis can be a lot of fun.
Anthony, I especially like the "super-suggestion" and plan to use it in my sessions. Does it increase significantly th effectivness of the subsequent suggestions?

Dear Poodle,
I appreciate your interest :). About 500 km from the earthquake, but what a mess...

Hi Vin,

thanks for the feedback. The super suggestion is something I always use in performance and also in a slightly watered down version in therapy. I find that when used prior to a convincer it does have a positive effect on sessions. I know some people find it a bit strong and can pop people out of hypnosis, but if you simply tag on the end of it '...because you have a super powerful mind', in other words give it back to the subject, then I find it is always accepted.

I have produced some supplements to the book but these are solely aimed at those with an interest in magic and mentalism. However some of the info in these supplements is of use to everyone so I will email a supplement without the magic related stuff in soon to all RIPers.

A DVD sequel to the book is planned focusing on deepening and routining.

Other than that I am working on a book and DVD package outlining the approach developed by my father Freddy Jacquin and used by us both over the last 13 years.

Best regards,

Anthony Jacquin
