Hi

I do appreciate the importance of in person consultations.

People in faraway countries like us are helpless. Just cannot find accomplished therapists in our land.

Is it possible that you may be able to assist in some aspects from a distance.

Thank you

Jacko

Jacko Since you don't choose to tell us "in what aspects" the answer is yes we can. However, the land you reside in must be very distant, and our influence might not reach that far. Now, we don't offer therapy at a distance. We don't find a local whom you could easily find yourself if you chose. So what is it you want that we can do?

Well I know he is not at the north pole because that is where I am right now.
The weather outside is frightful, and the fire is so delightful.
So Merry Christmas to all I say, let it snow let it snow let it snow....:D

Yes, most of us could help you if you have enough money. We charge a minimum of at least US$1,000/hour or any part thereof and you also pay for the phone call. What a deal, huh? It's not that we really want your money as more likely or not it would be donated to charity. It's that you need to value our skills.

Be well,
Pood :)

You are not helpless, unless you choose to be. Sometimes one might feel helpless, and that is okay. There are people who can help you from a distance, by phone. Some of the therapists on this forum perform such work.

In person help is best, but you and your helper can still be successful by phone or Skype. It depends on the therapist and also a bit on you.

Whomever you choose to work with, do your research on him/her. This is especially true if you work by phone (in my opinion). Choose well.

Learning about the mind, yours and others, is fascinating in every way and to me worthwhile far beyond words. Even if you live in a remote place the best teachers are only a flight away. If money is an issue, as it can be in life, save the money. There are excellent teachers all over the globe, some harder to find than others, but if you want it enough you will succeed. You might even find that it is easier than you originally thought.

These are all my opinions based on my own experiences. I'm not a therapist, just someone interested in the mind.

There are some people who seem to be successful via phone or even the internet. Some of the people who say they are successful I am sure are effective. My guess, however, is that the majority who claim effectiveness can't back up the claim.

If I needed a brain surgeon, I would find the best one for my needs and travel to have him work on me.

If I needed a plumber I would do the research and have the best one come to where I needed the plumbing done, even if it cost me extra for his or her travel time.

Similarly, I believe that the feedback I received as a hypnotherapist necessitates me being in the presence of a client. Perhaps that is just my limiting belief, however I acknowledge it and am fully content to keep it. Therefore, I choose not to do any remote hypnotherapy. I will do some minor NLP work in certain cases, however that is a rare exception for people I'm already working with.

This is not meant to disparage anyone who chooses to do this type of work, it merely exposes my own beliefs and personal prejudices as to how I choose to do this work.

it can be done by certain persons on this little ol' Forum. I also know for sure it cannot be done by all and in that "by all" I include myself. Sometimes you may think you need hypnotherapy, when indeed you do not. We have many members with many different tools in their toolboxes and that means that not all toolboxes are equal.

Be well~Pood :)

Though I haven't done a ton of it (yet), I do have conversational changework techniques which adapt quite well to phone work.
