My question has to do with the effectiveness of an anchor over time and/or repeated exposure. Example: Anchoring a positive state to ones cell phone.

Would the anchor lessen quicker because the client is exposed to it more often?

Also, we are exposed to advertising through repetition...it must work on some level although I know that there is a saturation point where it loses its effect on us...

I guess my question would be, is anchoring to something that we are exposed to more often be useful in your opinions or would it lose its effect quicker than an anchor that we are less exposed to? Thank you in advance.

yes they will 'fade'.

and yes they are just as fresh as the day they were installed.

Repeated 'firing' will 'mix' them with other states the person is in when thery are fired and cause them to diminish in 'strength'.

BUT firing it EXACTLY as when it was installed will bring back the original anchor as pristine as they day it was first set.

hope that helps,

It's a bit like a phobia, Edward. A phobia rarely goes away of its own accord and is the result of a powerful anchor created at any point in the phobic's life. An anchor of any type requires only one instance of its occurence to be effective.

But, a phobic anchor is strengthened each time the fear object is encountered, and in a similar way a desired anchor is also strengthened each time it is used. It doesn't wear out.;)

Have you bought every car advertised?
keep lots of food you don't like in the pantry, and still buy more?
