As I stated in a thread i was considering hypnotherapy. I am now considering nlp aswell due to positive results I have heard. However at the moment my head is a complete mess and I understand that nlp consists of a lot of visualising which I feel I would have trouble doing effectively. Would this be a problem?
Thanks,

Really? That's very interesting. How would you know your car from all the other cars in a parking lot? What color is your hair without looking into a mirror? What color are the floors where you live? I suspect you can visualize very well or you would not recognize yourself, your friends or your family.
Vision is just one of our input channels. It may not be your primary and in NLP you may or may not have to visualize. Maybe you'll be asked to hear or feel or does the unwanted behaviour have something to do with taste or smell?
Be well,

Formal hypnosis is more of language.
NLP has a wider use of modalities and submodalities, such as visualising, hearing, feeling, etc.
We all use all these modalities.
one is dominant within conscious awareness.
the others are always present, though sometimes outside of conscious awareness.
