Hello All,
I have been all over the web looking for a place to start with self hypnosis. My needs are simple. I’d like to:
1. Eliminate stage fright, change my view of nervous energy to harness the motivational potential within it.
2. Eliminate or greatly reduce embarrassment, and replace it with my actual desire to face all shortcomings with humour and grace.
3. Eliminate compulsive or addictive habits and thoughts (fairly minor, no drug addiction or anything too serious, but I do have these seemingly harmless but utterly ridiculous scripts in my head that were adopted during the various abuses of childhood – no sexual abuse to my knowledge).
4. Although I have no serious or complicated sexual issues (in my own eyes anyway!) I would like to run a few routine “more sensitive lover” suggestions, increase general confidence and decrease anxiety, etc., the routine package, probably…..
5. Eliminate procrastination (be eager to face each challenge at first notice) and develop more powerful organizational skill as well as develop a habit of being organized in my surroundings (clean up my desk daily instead of monthly, etc.) and management of time and money.
6. Embed some deep seated suggestions to “think good health”, eat better, not crave bad foods (which are not physical cravings, but some other script in my head, but you probably know that already – I am not overweight, but I am starting to add a couple pounds. In 10 years, this could be dangerous!)
7. Increase general and all round confidence.
8. Write and express from a wittier, deeper, more mature, more creative level.
9. Eliminate random or generalized or even diffused anger or blame or disdain, especially where it is “sub-radar”.
Now, all that being said, is this at all possible? Is it too tall an order? Can I achieve this with a book or CD or would I need personalized one-on-one live hypnotherapeutic attention? If I CAN do this with a do-it-yourself approach, WHICH BOOK OR CD SHOULD I START WITH?? I have seen SO many on the internet by now, and I have NO clue where to start! They all swear they are excellent and the best starting point. What do you suggest? Please feel free to be as totally unbiased as you can. I have no idea which product you promote, but please just tell me what is the best product you’ve ever heard of – whether you regularly endorse it or not – that would address my needs. At this point, I’ve tried so many things and been researching in so many places, that I really just need to know, from someone far more experienced than I am in matters like this, what is out there for me.
