Hey! hows everyone??? Im a 19 yr old goin to high school and i was gonna ask for a little help... im really want to be popular at high school so i was wondering if a hypnotist out there could make me a recording that would make me want to look, act, think and be like eminem! i know its a lot to ask but if someone could do this i would really appreciate it! and after you make a recording you could just send it to me as an MP3 file... so hopefully someone out there can help me. Thanks!

unpopular which kind of popular do you want to be? cuz there are two types. You have the kids who are popular because of their character/personality, and you have the kids who are popular because they know how to please the crowd. A man of character will be popular with time, a crowd pleaser will be unpopular throughout time.

Ok, i'm not going to produce an mp3. Nor am I a hypnotist. However, listen up! maybe you could start by buying some clothes you feel good in (like what eminem wears, perhaps?) and wear them (some vests and joggers won't sting you too much now will it?). Then..... stop giving a f!#k about what you think other people think. Do this and you will be most of the way there. And, remember, high school is full of kids..... Be whoever the f!#k you want to be. Only a child would let his thoughts about others thoughts dictate his thoughts about himself (or herself as the case may be). Spin your own world. The totality of your consent is the whole of your identity. If you disagree with an opinion about you, consent to something else (think John Lydon on that score). Respect your individuality, grow in respect for yourself, increase the respect you get. That is what eminem does, in his own individual way, don't you think? Practically everyone looks up to people (past present future) sometimes. Nothing wrong with that.. emulate what you like - whoever you are you will always be different if you BELIEVE - in - YOURSELF. Choose your own identity - cos you like it, not because it is what you think someone you look up to thinks it is.

Like that dude said earlier - takes time to get there - once you realise it is your destination the journey will have some direction. And when you are on the road you generally know what to do to get where you are going. So make sure you bring some good CD's to listen to. And let's face it, when you know its gonna take a little time but will be worth it when you get there you are generally more laid back. Plus, its all sohhhhh muuuuuch easier that way, don't you think???? I know I think so. Keep it real my friend. Keep determining that reality... (ops there goes gravity). You already know exactly what to do.. to enjoyyy the journey, the destination has taken care of itself - it's there - now there is only the journey. Makes sense to enjoy it now... i think you know what I'm talking about.

Dear Eminem Wannabe,

I am in high school myself. I can understand where you are comming from, people like talking to me about their problems and I like helping people out. I think you chose the right forum to do so, around here everyone is alwyas willing to help out.

Like the other dude said, high school is full of kids. Dont worry about being popular. Believe me when i say: Popularity is an illusion. It really is. And when you acquire this "Popularity" title, it isnt that big a deal. Really, its quite overated. Someone who is considered popular doesnt really give a damn. Thats usually WHY they are popular: because they dont give a damn who thinks what or who says what they do what they feel when they feel! Think about it man! Now maybe youre scared of being bullied or something, take a martial arts class if thats the case. If not, (not trying to use cliche here but) BE YOURSELF! That is how one gains popularity (if its really that you care about)! But you can learn so many more valuable things by being yourself. Anywyas, take my advice man. Dont worry about it too much, most of the popular kids are all phony anyways! Good luck, i hope you find that mp3 youre looking for!

Don't know where you're from solaris but nowadays just doing something because you want to, like dressing "cool" for instance, won't save your a$s in school or on the streets. This was a suggestion because learning the martial arts increases one's self confidence, and this seems to be ol' eminem wannabe's main problem. Besides, it is damn good to know these days. You never know when a little self-defense can come in handy.

Once again, good luck. And do take martial arts into consideration, it is good in many aspects of your life. I can tell you this from experience.

I think Solaris152000 is trying to get across the fact that to be bullied it is a decision to be a victim, someone else's actions only have the meaning you give them. If your affected in a bad way by someone else they have power over you that you give them!

Being like Eminen is no solution. If you like Hiphop then I shall quote Melle Mel to you "and God was great and God was true when he tried to show you how to be like you". You only see on Eminem what he decides to show you as an image. But I will say this: Listen to his lyrics and understand the deeper meaning. Listen to Eminem at his best and not at his most obvious. Dont do the typical thing of copying his posturing and his image.. I would copy his creativity and originality. Be cool.. just dont act cool.

I hope you're getting all of this unpopular. What everyone is saying on here is true, and pure. If someone likes you because you're like Eminen do they really like you? Ok so you like eminen, nothings wrong with that at all, I like eminen, but I like him because of his passion. He has a passion for his songs, some are meaningful, some aren't but regardless he puts forth a lot of emotions on singing them. So if you want to be liked find your passion, and if others don't like it screw them; they're not you, they don't have to like it. As far as the martial arts thing, I think that would be a really good thing for you. You may not be the fighting type, but that doesn't mean that you don't need to know how. And martial arts teaches you about respect for yourself and others. When you show people of quality respect you will receive it in return. Plus you'll get in good with the chicks with respect for them (only chicks of quality though).
