www.hypnosiseducation.com (http://www.hypnosiseducation.com/) can anyone tell me if they are providing a good quality of education and if so then have any of you taken courses from them?

I live in Iceland and as i have not found one single hypnotherepist here and no schools teach it i´m looking for books and courses (over sea courses) that might get me started

Hope you can help me out here.

Kaztraz, in the recent issue of "Access," the journal of the ABH, ABNLP, and TLTA, ABH president Alex Docker makes a comment on the school you recommend. He writes, "The owner of this organization arrogates to himself the position of watchdog of th hypnotherapy profession. Regarding other schools and other practitioners, he makes statements on his website that are purposely inaccurate, misleading and calculated to demean and even destroy the reputations of others, while glorifying his own...It might be pertinent to note that this person is no longer a member of ABH, and does not comply with the regulations for ABH approval, yet he refuses to cease using the ABH in his advertising."

In a previous issue, Dr Docker wrote about the need for unity within the Hypnotherapy profession. With this I heartily agree. If this information is accurate, it does not seem that the organization you name is helping the profession at all.

As I wrote elsewhere, "We cannot recommend a hypnotherapist or NLP practitioners in your area. That's not our focus." The same goes for other schools or trainings in these subjects. I would add that Dr. Docker's critique said nothing concerning that organization's teachings, just their policies.

Any recommendations or comments about other schools or teachings are strictly the opinions of the posters and do not reflect the opinons of the owners of this forum.
