Hello,
I am a horribly picky eater. Basically I like no vegetables. I wish I did because I know how good they are for me, but I don't like the taste/texture of veggies. My fiance is worried that I may develope health problems because I eat so poorly.
Is hypnosis a possible way to change the way I think something tastes or reduce the effects that the texture of vegetables causes me to feel?
Thanks,
Terry (existing)

Guest, you posted this identical thread several months ago, if you failed to take the advice given then, why ask again now? If you did take the advice and nothing good resulted, why bother asking again? I believe you were advised at that time to seek local help, do it....
Steam the veggies.
Different taste (better) and different texture.

Not the same guest... I searched the forums before posting and didn't find... So in answer to your rude return comment..
Don't assume things, it can only make an a$$ of U and Me. It did both, you looked like one and I am being one in reply to you.

i am not a fussy eater at all, in fact i can't think of a food that i dislike (am weird like that)
i have often wondered why i am like this, everyone seems to not like something or another but i just munch through everything and enjoy every moment of it
we all have the same taste buds right? guest from what i gather it is possible, after all its not the food you dislike (if it was everyone would feel the same) so it must be something else... maybe you was forced to eat vegetables at a young age even though you was already full, maybe you refused to eat them at a young age because you knew you could get to your desert quicker by not eating them, or maybe you used not eating vegetables as a form of rebeling agaist your parents (as a lot of kids do)
and you got stuck in one of these patterns and now it seems normal not to eat vegetables? i don't know if any of this makes sence to you
i have a friend who is exactly the same, won't eat anything thats not processed to hell and back, but i really belive he doesn't know whether he likes vegetables any more because he's refused to eat them for so long, i mean he utterly refuses to go anywhere near them... its a shame because they are so good for you, and they taste divine, ask your parents if they know when this begun, it might help you resolve the issue in your own way, and seeing a hypnotist is a great idea, i'm sure it would work

There are many reasons why a person may not like certain foods. Hypnotherapy can help you discover what they are and help you change the types of foods you want if that is your desire.

Even though I used to eat vegetables, I never really enjoyed them. I always thought heaven was eating as much of all of the 'bad' types of food as you liked. I did that when I had the opportunity and it became so monotonous and unpleasant that I began to really like vegetables and the feeling it gave me to eat them. I used to think a diet of just chocolate mousse would be heaven until it became a reality when I had my wisdom teeth out. Two days later and I never wanted to eat chocolate mousse again. I would have given anything for the nice juicy different taste of a carrot that required some delightful effort to eat.
Now I love vegetables but only because I learnt from the above experiences and kept telling myself that they surely are nicer to eat than I used to believe they were. People's tastes can change throughout their lives and food preferences can change like fashion. Often it's just a case of persistent exploration of the many different types of healthy food available that leads you to something you like that maybe once used to think you didn't.
