Greetings, especially to all new people coming to our forum. We welcome you, encourage your questions and comments, and hope you'll register and share your ideas.

Sometimes, however, people come here looking for things we simply cannot provide for a variety of reasons. To clear things up before you post, here are some things to consider:

1) We cannot give you therapy. If you need help, please contact someone in your area. We also cannot give you instructions how to hypnotize yourself or others and show you how to resolve a problem with a simple script.
2) We cannot recommend a hypnotherapist or NLP practitioners in your area. That's not our focus. If you're looking for someone, we suggest that you send an email to info@hypnosis.com or contact either the American Board of Hypnotherapy at http://www.abh-abnlp.com/referral.htm or the National Guild of Hypnotists at https://www.ngh.net/Forms/Referral.aspx
2a) Any contact between people as a result of the use of this forum other than communicating on this forum is strictly the responsibility of the people involved. We are not responsible for the actions or activities of people outside of this forum.
3) We cannot rate hypnotherapists in your area.
4) We cannot teach you the basics of hypnotherapy or NLP. There are many books on these subjects which you can obtain from your library or any bookstore. However, we also strongly suggest that you consider taking training in your area.
5) We cannot give you a simple script to solve your specific problem. Every person is an individual and requires sessions individualized to their specific needs.
6) We cannot legally answer medical questions. If you have received a diagnosis from a licensed medical practitioner, you should seek advice from that practitioner. If you wish to know if hypnosis or NLP can help with certain medical problems, we can certainly answer in general terms. However, if you've received a diagnosis, ask your medical professional for a referral to a hypnotherapist or NLP practitioner in your area.
7) We cannot do your school report for you.
8) We do not allow advertising, personal attacks, or the posting of material under copyright (i.e., long copy-and-pastes from other websites without permission).

So what is the purpose of this board and what can we do?
1) The purpose is to discuss hypnotherapy, NLP, and associated topics.
2) We can certainly discuss certain specific aspects of these topics.
3) We can discuss theories and philsophies of hypnotherapy and NLP
4) We can suggest books that might give more information on topics
5) Individuals on this forum may choose to recommend practitioners. These are personal recommendations and may not represent the opinion of this forum or its owners.
6) Because of the nature of this forum, we can generally give brief answers to questions.
7) We can clear up misconceptions about hypnotherapy and NLP.

Please understand that the opinions expressed by people on this forum are only their opinions, and may or may not represent the opinions of the owners of this forum. Before taking the advice of anyone, we urge you to consult people in your area, especially people you know. We also urge you to ask lots of questions to any potential hypnotherapist or NLP practitioner you are considering.

ok, well i didnt do my reaserch about what this forum is about, and here it is! DISCUSS HYPNOTHERAPY, NLP AND OTHER TOPICS, so why is it often impossible for newbies to discuss the topics they want to discuss, simply because the forum moderators are bored with the same old topic. There are people on this forum that are enthusiastic and willing to give answers to "the same old topic", so why dont the oldies just let others that are willing to give positive answers go ahead and keep quiet?

Forum moderators have never made it impossible for people to discuss any topic. The only editing we do is to remove insults and personal attacks or advertising.

I was referred to this site from the American Pacific University site. Does anyone here have experience as a student in their program? I cannot find the tuition for their Ph.D. program on their site under their tab entitled "tuition". Anyone care to enlighten me? Also, why is there almost no information about it when I do a Google search under the school's name?

I would imagine that this is because their tuition schedule is changing. You can contact them and find the current rates at:
Telephone: 800-634-9766
Hawaii Standard Time, Mon – Fri, 7:00AM – 5:00PM
E-Mail: info@ampac.edu
Fax: 808-596-7764

Also, I think it is no great secret that if you take one of their hypnosis cerification courses, or, I believe, attend the ABH convention, they offer a discount.

Hi,
I studied for a PhD with APU about 10 years ago and did my dissertation on Quantum Linguistics. I found it to be very rewarding. However you do need to be self motivated and it is a good idea to set aside a certain amount of time every day to study. The PhD has opened several doors for me, so I say go for it

I certainly agree with what we can and cannot do in a board like this.It all comes by determination and practice. Probably anyone can start doing some
ground work like improving the magnetic power of eyes by not blinking too much You can do this by staring at an object for a few minutes everyday. The purpose of this exercise is to control the frequency of blinking.Don't do this untill your eyes too much. You can start small and increase it along the way.Say about a minute on the first day then 3..5 and so on.

R U with Taylor or R U on your own? You need to understand that we do know what goes on and soon your little link will be taken away. BlackOpsHypno - more like Black Ops screwed up NLP. Will those eye lids blink one at a time...twice or three times before they close altogether - Rapidly or Slowly? Will they just close now or will they flutter all by themselves first? Will the eyes close more and more as you get more and more relaxed? Can those eyes just stay closed as you're comfortable to go deeper, just like when you sleep? And when will you just forget about them altogether....because your unconscious...wants you to dream! Pood

I don't know what happened when you type xxx you'll see a content site but somehow it redirects to Taylor's site when you click on the link in my sig I didn't test the link I just changed it and saved my sig sorry for the inconvinience

Hypnogeek is trying to include a link to free-psychic medium.com. I edited it because of our policy about link thrus to other sites. I believe I have given accurate enough information, that someone wishing to so do, could find the site hypnogeek is referencing. skip
