I'm seeking verification of a situation in which the subject was able to apparently see "through" an opaque object.

Specifically, the subject was told that, upon awakening, he would not be able to see his daughter, though she was still in the room and, in fact, was standing directly in front of him, blocking his view of most of the room. His inability to see his daughter did not surprise me, as I had previously heard of a similar exhibition. In this case, the unique aspect was that the subject was able to read an inscription revealed only after his vision was blocked by the torso of his daughter.

Can anyone verify such a phenomenon?

Subject was following your commands. Is that difficult to understand? Since you seem to enjoy playing with someone's mind, next time why not tell subject daughter is really a 5'?" RED FRENCH POODLE.

Submitted by the 5'5" White French Poodle. Just notice how well I have mastered two Human languages and can keyboard with my dainty nails with paw-leash on them.

Sorry! Must go now. A darling Yellow Lab just moved in next door.

Yes.
you're stumbling into an area of the mind beyond hypnosis though.
An area denied and made fun of by most people.
