For those who practise hypnotherapy, you may sometimes become the "hypnotee" yourself what do you expect from the practionner?
With the free consulation what kind of questions can i fire without insulting the practioner?
With your background experience what would you ask?
Any question, honestly given, is acceptable to me. I'd want to know:
1) what is his/her training
2) what professional organizations he/she has
3) how long he/she has been in practice

How about...
Could I have a cross-section of referrals of past clients. 3-5 that had different results.

Bonecollector,
In addition to what Don has suggested, I'd engage the person in
conversation and then ask questions to see how well he/she has been
listening. Also, I'd ask if there is any reason that the individual
is particularly better qualified than others for my particular concerns.
I might also ask who the person might go to him/herself, were he/she
in my place.

Thanks for the excellent response guys and im so glad i found these forums.
I've been in contact with a few Hypnotherapists who seem to be limited in certain areas (issues), so i feel they will be "treading new ground" with the problems i will present them. However im thinking with its worth a try.
Does anyone know of a skilled practitioner working in the london area thats dealt with "depression"and "confidence" issues?
